Gamers across Reddit are angry at Ubisoft due to the next Assassins Creed game being only 30FPS and stating gamers prefer it over 60FPS (self.SubredditDrama)

So Ubisoft recently claimed in a TechRadar article that the next Assassians Creed game is going to be in 30FPS instead fo 60FPS since "It actually feels better for people when it's at that 30fps". Unsurprisingly, this has sparked some delicious upset amongst the gaming community!
First let's look to /r/gamernews, which is probably where the best drama is. The top comment turns into some tasty drama over whether or not 60FPS is better than 30FPS when one user says "Those bastards have a different opinion? Piiiiitchfooooooorks out!".
/r/Games is next up, which has a lot of deleted comments (damn mods, being all active):
Minor spat between two users which turns into name insults very quickly
Another "is 60FPS better than 30FPS" argument
Enough of /r/games, let's take a peek at /r/xboxone, where one use agreeing with Ubisoft is referred to as insane.
/r/pcmasterrace doesn't have any drama between users, but they're all pretty angry at Ubisoft:
Surely nobody can be this fucking stupid.
The /r/PS4 thread doesn't have much in-fighting either, but they're all pretty angry at Ubisoft:
Do they actually think we're that stupid?
There is one user who gets very angry another user at the suggestion of not buying the game, but it doesn't go beyond a couple comments:
Jesus fucking Christ. Does everything need to be a boycott?
/r/girlgamers is pissed too, but their thread is fairly short.
EDIT: I forgot to check /r/assassinscreed, but luckily is /u/WolfKingAdam is looking out for us. Here's the full thread, and here's a direct link to some drama. Thanks /u/WolfKingAdam.

Regardless of what people say, unless you play a shit ton of fighting games or have trained yourself to notice the difference, there's really no difference.
Man I hate joining on this bandwagons, but that is not true at all. 60 FPS looks so much better than 30 FPS. Does it stop me from playing 30 FPS games? No. But they will always look sloppier.
This site compares the two.
Rather than have the two main "new gen" consoles go at it with specs, Ubisoft's playing it safe by uniting them to hate on them
I think you may be on to something. First the Watchdogs fiasco, now this?

This is where I read the "30 FPS to end debate" article, just in case.
They're covering up the fact that this game will be the same as all the previous AC games.
I don't know about that, Unity is introducing character customization--something you weren't able to do before. Also, a skill tree.
It seems like they're branching a bit out of their comfort bubble if you ask me.
The first 6 played almost exactly the same as far as single player went. I'm not gonna hold my breath on this one.
Yes, but what I'm saying is unless you actively looking for it, you not really going to notice it, its like gold wire v. copper wire for stereos.
I mean, I gotta disagree with that. If you play one or two games at 60 FPS, you definitely start noticing how not-smooth 30 FPS is. TLOU Remastered is a good example because you can play 60 and 30 with the same game. Battlefield is another good one
I don't know how to explain this, but like with the site 30fps v 60fps I know there's a difference but it not enough not be negligible, and because I really don't care that much, I can't will myself to notice the actual difference, its like one of those once you see it, you can't unsee it. The hilarious part of the interview is that the people that would actually would follow such an interview are the type to notice the difference.
Weird. Maybe it's to do with eyesight or something, it's a huge difference to me on most games.
There's a running joke with some friends that I can't really tell the difference between HD and regular television and we haven't figured out it if vision, contrarianism, or my inability to give a fuck.
Maybe you were born to be a peasant with broken eyes/brain.
I'm half joking, but seriously, if you can't tell the difference between 30 and 60fps, or HD and SD, you got issues homie.
Curious, have you been playing video games all your life? I run fraps when I game and it shows frame rate at all times. I notice tiny fluctuations in frame rate without even looking at the numbers.
Yeah, but I'm pretty sure it because I haven't been trying to notice that I don't, which most people are like.
Go buy dark souls 1 for the PC, which is locked to 30 fps
Play it for an hour.
Now find a mod that uncaps the fps. (It's really easy to find one).
Now load up the game and keep playing at 60 fps. The difference is absolutely insane
The fact that I need to go out of my want to notice a difference should say something.
Yes, the fact that you should see an eye doctor.
What? Im simply telling you to play a game at 30 fps then 60 fps. How else are you going to make a comparison lol.
I've tried those 30v60 pages, and I really can't tell the difference.
I suggest visiting an optician then.
Yes, that what I need to do, see an optician so that I get a neligable difference in frame rates....click or naw.
I mean that you obviously have some serious problems with your eyesight if you cant tell a difference.
Thats nice. Now play a game at 30 fps and another at 60 fps and tell me if you cant tell the difference. Otherwise your opinion is simply uninformed.
Also check your monitors refresh rate. It may not be able to display anything over 30 fps, although it would have to be heavily outdated.
My opinion is uninformed because I somehow have compared the frame rates, but not with Dark Souls?
Because you havent tried playing any game at both 30 fps and 60 fps, but yes, thats essentially my point. You shouldnt be commenting on the impact fps has on a game if youve never actually tried to compare framerates in a game by playing it
