Gamers across Reddit are angry at Ubisoft due to the next Assassins Creed game being only 30FPS and stating gamers prefer it over 60FPS (self.SubredditDrama)

So Ubisoft recently claimed in a TechRadar article that the next Assassians Creed game is going to be in 30FPS instead fo 60FPS since "It actually feels better for people when it's at that 30fps". Unsurprisingly, this has sparked some delicious upset amongst the gaming community!
First let's look to /r/gamernews, which is probably where the best drama is. The top comment turns into some tasty drama over whether or not 60FPS is better than 30FPS when one user says "Those bastards have a different opinion? Piiiiitchfooooooorks out!".
/r/Games is next up, which has a lot of deleted comments (damn mods, being all active):
Minor spat between two users which turns into name insults very quickly
Another "is 60FPS better than 30FPS" argument
Enough of /r/games, let's take a peek at /r/xboxone, where one use agreeing with Ubisoft is referred to as insane.
/r/pcmasterrace doesn't have any drama between users, but they're all pretty angry at Ubisoft:
Surely nobody can be this fucking stupid.
The /r/PS4 thread doesn't have much in-fighting either, but they're all pretty angry at Ubisoft:
Do they actually think we're that stupid?
There is one user who gets very angry another user at the suggestion of not buying the game, but it doesn't go beyond a couple comments:
Jesus fucking Christ. Does everything need to be a boycott?
/r/girlgamers is pissed too, but their thread is fairly short.
EDIT: I forgot to check /r/assassinscreed, but luckily is /u/WolfKingAdam is looking out for us. Here's the full thread, and here's a direct link to some drama. Thanks /u/WolfKingAdam.

Oh what a surprise...
Seriously, I wish there was gaming discussion about actual games, what you do in the game, etc.
People have the right to be mad about this shit. Consoles and PCs have the power to run these games at higher FPS. It makes no sense to limit them.
Plus Ubisoft saying that people will enjoy 30 FPS more than 60 FPS makes no sense
"Consoles have the power to run these games at higher FPS"
Yet, xbox one's main complaints is that it can't.
Edit: That was the beginning of the launch of console, it's now able to with patches. My mind went derp.
Yea I wasn't sure about XBONE, but PC's and the PS4 sure as hell can
I have both new gen consoles. They're remotely the same unless you're in a cut scene where there's darkness all around you-- the PS4 highlights great detail in dark environments better than the XBOX one.
People have the right to be mad about anything.
Doesn't mean it has anything to do with if the game is actually any good.
Well when Ubisoft comes out and announces that they want a game at 30 FPS for a "cinematic feel" of course the discussion will revolves around that
If they wanted a really cinematic feel it'd be 24fps, 30 is TV.
I can buy their argument that the majority of console only gamers don't give a shit about 900 vs. 1080 or 30 vs 60 fps. If people really care about making sure their games never drop below 60fps or run lower than 1080p just get a PC.
I think the anger is more about ubisofts bullshit response.
Seems like a pretty silly thing to get angry about :(
I'm willing to bet 99 out of 100 of the angry folk here who were going to buy the game before... still will... and will have fun.
Of all the silly shit people get mad about on reddit, I don't think getting mad about a company bullshitting is that bad.
Folks can certainly get mad about silly shit.
This seems notably disconnected from the actual thing.
I mean angry about some PR (some of those guys I think are frothing at the mouth) and putting so much anger into it....... still gonna fork over $60 to the company as soon as they can.
That's not true. A lot of the PC gamers absolutely hate ubisoft for the shit they pull (Watchdogs really broke the camel's back) and actively boycott them by simply not playing any of their games.
99 out of a 100 of the folks who WERE going to buy it in the first place.
Meaning this particular hubub really doesn't change anything.
Angry folks actually not buying something aren't changing anything they were going to do anyway and I seriously doubt there are THAT many of them.
There's a lot of discussion in /r/games and /r/truegaming. I'm sure the sub for the game itself would contain tons of discussion on gameplay.
games is pretty much /r/gaming without the memes......
/r/truegaming is a good sub but tends to be a bit more high minded, less about the actual game(s), but still a good sub no doubt.
> games is pretty much /r/gaming without the memes......
Then what's left?
/r/games is a very cynical sub. There's very little enthusiasm for games to be found there. Other than that, it's nothing but a stop for news about games, which is primarily what I use it for. Discussing games themselves is better to do in other subs.
> Then what's left?
Yeah not much.
We're going to have to resort to actually playing the games instead of complaining about them? Fuck.
